The Sparta KY GNCC is a favorite of many riders due to the varied terrain ranging from technical off cambers and the rocky creek bed to some elevation changes and grass track. A shower on Friday kept the dust at bay in the woods. The starting area for this event was on the far end of the property assuring we all got our exercise while traversing the ridge top adjacent to the Kentucky Motor Speedway property.

The overall podium for the youth event was comprised of Big Wheel 14-15 riders Walker Fowler of Rogers OH first, Cody Mummert from Glenville PA second and Seth Murray from Bostic NC third. Fourth place in the class went home with Brandon Higgins to Coalton WV and Scott Marling of Cameron WV recovered from a rear flat to finish fifth.

In the Big Wheel 12-13 class Zach Nolan from Arthurdale WV earned the win while A. J. Stewart from Lake Lynn PA battled with Steward Baylor of Belton SC with Stewart besting Baylor by only 5 seconds at the finish. Macolenny FL rider Tanner Hughes was fourth and Seth Villers from Buckhannon WV was fifth.

The 85cc 14-15 class winner Bryce Martin from Newnan GA was able to break the win streak of McKinnon Wellborn who suffered a first lap rear flat. Second place went to New Marshfield OH rider Cody Carr, Wylie Ford from West Union WV was third, Wesley Hill of South Bloomingville OH was fourth and Clinton Hale from Stollings WV was fifth.

Layne Michael took the win in the 85 12-13 class home to Fairmont WV. Chris Meadows from Athens OH came up a little short with a strong second place ride. Brandon Farnum rounded out the class podium taking third back on the long trip home to Red Oak IA. An outstanding ride was put in by Pittsburg TX rider Ashely Crouch who will likely reach the class podium at some point soon. She rode to 26 th overall which is in the top 25% of the entire youth field. Dillon Shoemaker of Thomas WV was fifth.

The 85cc 7-11 class was again won by Aaron Plessinger from Hamilton OH. The Hard Core race team riders Samuel Evans of St Albans WV and Jarrett Dudley from Whitmer WV had a good race with Evans coming out on top. Fourth place rider Tegan Temple is from West Chester PA. Jon Michael Rainey from Anderson SC earned fifth.

The 65cc 10-11 winner was Crittenden KY rider Daniel Baker. Austin Lee of Bedford IN was second, Ryan Slopko of Londonberry OH third, Jake Froman of Lynnville IN fourth and Tristian Stumbo of Laurelville OH fifth.

Grant Baylor continued his winning way in he 65cc 7-9 class while again besting all 65cc riders with his 33 rd place overall finish. Landrum SC rider Jonathan Johnson was second, Anthony Stone from Reedsville WV third, Mack Jones from Boomer NC fourth and Jaden Smith of Greensburg IN fifth.
