Round
11 - Elka Yadkin Valley Stomp Welcome to the third edition of Hoop's
Photo Report! The Welborn family did an awesome job getting the
Yadkin Valley course and facilities ready for a great weekend of racing.
The crowd that gathered at the new creek jump is the largest single
gathering (other than a start) that I have seen in my 3 years of coming
to the GNCCs. The coolest part of the creek jump is that it actually
played a significant role in both pro races. Chris Bithell was forced
to jump it for the first time on the last lap by a hard-charging Bill
Ballance. Charlie Mullins chose to take the risk and jump it despite
a large lead on the last lap and ended up colliding with a lapper and
going down. Anyway, that's enough of a race report from me. Hope you
all enjoy the photos! If you see me out shooting, don't be scared to
say hello. Also, I'd like to thank XC2 racer Kailub Russell for shooting
some of the morning race for me so I could race in the Sportsman class.
