Round 11 - Elka Yadkin Valley Stomp

Welcome to the third edition of Hoop's Photo Report! The Welborn family did an awesome job getting the Yadkin Valley course and facilities ready for a great weekend of racing. The crowd that gathered at the new creek jump is the largest single gathering (other than a start) that I have seen in my 3 years of coming to the GNCCs. The coolest part of the creek jump is that it actually played a significant role in both pro races. Chris Bithell was forced to jump it for the first time on the last lap by a hard-charging Bill Ballance. Charlie Mullins chose to take the risk and jump it despite a large lead on the last lap and ended up colliding with a lapper and going down. Anyway, that's enough of a race report from me.
