Bryan Cook carries the privateer flag proudly into battle. The southern man is as tough as they come, and he's not afraid to go up against-and beat-riders with much more support. Raised as a racer in the ultra-competitive Mid-East Hare Scrambles Series, Cook took the GNCC amateur ranks by storm, and transitioned quickly into the Pro Class. But the competition at that level is stiff, and Cook battled injuries and set-up issues trying to find firm footing. By the end of 2007, many of the top teams were looking at younger, flashier talent for their teams. Fired up to show everyone he could still contender, Cook put his head down and charged all year long, landing a win, several podiums, and the respect of his competitors. Cook isn't a loud mouth, a trash talker or a spotlight hog. He even works a full-time job during the week in the construction industry. But when he puts his helmet on for a race, he's a real threat.
