Following the success of Glenn Kearney, the FMF Suzuki team went fishing in the Australian pond again and found a teenager named Josh Strang. After a few solid rides in the 250 A class in 2006, he joined the factory team in the full XC1 pro class for 2007 and performed very well, even nailing a podium in Unadilla. Strang is a big, strong rider, and he's one of the first to tame the new generation of 450 bikes in the woods. He's committed to his craft, too, willing to ride and train with anyone at any time in hopes of learning the game as quickly as possible. During a solid 2008 season, Strang collected piles of podium finishes and busted through for his first career win, as well, en route to finishing the year ranked third in the series. In 2009 he barely missed the championship behind Paul Whibley. One of the nicest young riders to hit the circuit in a long time, the sky is now the limit for young Strang.
