A fast-rising star out of the GNCC amateur ranks, Charlie "Hot Rod" Mullins has been dubbed the future of GNCC Racing by many. Supremely talented, the Ohio native is tough on any terrain, from open stuff, to mud and hills, and he's working on his game in technical terrain like rocks. After a solid rookie campaign in 2006, and another break-out year in 2007 that saw him grab two wins, the FMF Suzuki team bid big for Charlie's services in 2008. Many expected Mullins to grab the GNCC Title, but things never came together for him, and despite a win in Georgia and several podium finishes, he was relegated to fifth in the final standings. With lessons learned from his first year in yellow, expect Mullins to be up front every week in 2009.
