As the penultimate stop on the tour, it's not uncommon to see riders secure a Championship here
Est: October 1995
The Ironman finale is one of the most popular races on the circuit. A local Polaris dealership hosts the event, and they get together with local farmers to get plenty of land for the track. Community support for this race is amazing. Ironman GNCC banners hang downtown, and the spectator count is incredible. The event has grown so much that it’s overflowing from race to full-on industry trade show with Yamaha, Can-Am and Polaris displaying next year's models.

As far as the track, many riders call this one their favorite on the whole tour. The track has it all. The land in this area is totally flat, but the course runs near riverbanks, which means there’s still plenty of elevation change. In fact, the hills here are some of the steepest on the circuit. If it rains, the hills will be the toughest part, as the course will be routed around the creeks. If it doesn’t rain, the riders will hit the creeks, and they’re rocky. Be careful not to cut a tire there. Also, since the race runs in October, it can get cold. Try to stay dry in those creeks.

Outside of the woods, the course routes across harvested cornfields. You’ll have your machine pegged at its absolute top-speed several times here. From tight trails, to technical hillclimbs, gullies, rock sections and creeks, all on top of great dirt, this track is a true test for a cross-country racer’s all-around skills.

The Ironman event is named after the late GNCC ATV Champion Bob "Ironman" Sloan, who hailed from Indiana and helped make the event happen.
Godspeed, Bob.

Special Info: UTVs will be racing this event.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and GNCC racers and fans are encouraged to get in on the action. GNCC Racing will relax number-plate background codes for the race and encourage riders to run pink backgrounds, available via PowerSports GrafX at ridepg.com. A $22.95 pink front number plate background will result in a $5 donation, and a full set of front and side backgrounds retails for $69.95, and includes a $10 donation. Ridepg.com will also sell exclusive GNCC breast cancer awareness race stickers for a minimum $2 donation. Pink wrist bands will also be sold at the track for a $1 donation. Donations will go to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in Indianapolis and the FAITH Alliance.

The race facility will be adorned in pink, including a special pink podium backdrop, which will be autographed by each podium finisher during the weekend and then auctioned off on eBay. In addition, pink-themed trophies, awards, t-shirts and plaques will ensure a memorable scene. The famous pumpkins lining the Ironman entrance gate will even be painted pink.

Swap Meet! The Ironman hosts the season’s only GNCC swap meet. The season is over, so racers and fans are encouraged to clean out their garages, work shops, trucks and vans and sell whatever they no longer need. No special permits are required to buy or sell—just set up your spot in your pit, or take a stroll through the pit area to see what’s available.

Demo Rides! Can-Am, Polaris and Yamaha have all set up demonstration riding areas to let fans and racers alike take a spin on select new models of machinery. This is the only opportunity all year to ride the new equipment from manufacturers, and it’s free.

Directions: The track is located south of Crawfordsville off Route 47. You'll find it, just stay on 47 South and look for signs.
