How the 2009 Contingency Program Works...
BUY a Kawasaki. Purchase a new or used 2008 or newer U.S. KX™ model Kawasaki from a U.S. dealer or a private party. Green must remain the dominant color and Kawasaki logos must be visible on the machine. All Monster Energy® KX™ models are eligible for contingency. Canadian models are not eligible for contingency.
REGISTER for the program by clicking this link beginning November 1, 2008 and prior to your first race. You will receive an automated email response once your registration has been approved. If you are currently registered in the program, you must update your account every program year prior to your first race or anytime there may be changes to your account.
RECEIVE your Kawasaki Contingency Rewards Mastercard within 7-10 business days once your registration has been approved. Automatic payments will be deposited directly to your MasterCard® Kawasaki Contingency card once Kawasaki receives and approves "official" race results from the promoter. The Kawasaki Contingency card may be redeemed at any Kawasaki dealer, and more than 32 million retailers worldwide, giving you the freedom to choose how, where, and when you wish to spend your earnings. This is a debit card only. This card is not a credit card and cannot be used as one. If you attempt to use more than the available balance on your card, your card will be denied. It has no cash value and is not transferable. If you have not received your payment within 30 days after the race, please contact Kawasaki. There may be a delay in payment due to problems with your registration or results. Lost or stolen cards can be replaced immediately by calling 1-866-535-2544. (A $5.00 fee may apply) For any questions regarding your registration or Kawasaki Contingency Rewards Mastercard, please call 1-866-525-2544.
Rules...
Program dates are November 1, 2008 to October 31, 2009.
Contingency payments will only be paid to riders with a valid U.S. social security number and a valid U.S. mailing address.
Register for the program prior to receiving contingency. Riders will not qualify for contingency payments prior to enrollment date.
All Kawasaki warranty-sales registrations for retail sales must be processed by Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. ("KMC") before contingency will be paid.
Riders can earn contingency in two classes per VIN. Each vehicle identification number (VIN) may be registered to only one rider at a time. At dual sanctioned events, riders will be paid for one event only.
KMC will pay only one division of the same class. If a class is split into multiple divisions, the race officials must notify riders on which is the contingency paying class.
There must be a minimum of seven riders in a class for full contingency to be paid out. For classes with three to six riders, the top two riders will be paid. No payments will be issued in classes of less than three riders. For all team race series, each team will be limited to one contingency payment per entry.
Any rider falsifying claims will automatically be disqualified from the program.
No payments will be issued after December 31, 2009 for the 2009 Kawasaki Contingency program. It is the responsibility of each rider to track and verify all eligible finishes and payments from Kawasaki. Any missed payments or errors must be reported to Kawasaki prior to December 31, 2009.
Program rules are subject to change without notice.
All program elements, interpretation of rules, and substitution, modification or withdrawal of any program element are at the sole discretion of KMC. Interpretation of rules by KMC is final.
