BRP Can-Am Press Release

Valcourt, Quebec, February 29, 2008 – In a sign of its commitment to ATV racing, BRP announced its 2008 Can-Am X-Team contingency program today. The program will pay nearly $780,000 CAD ($800,000 USD) total to those racers finishing in the top three at nearly 80 rounds of racing across North America in 2008.

“We are a company with racing in our DNA,” says Del Bohlman, Media Relation and Racing Manager for Can-Am ATVs. “ATVs like the DS 450 were specifically engineered to win races; competition drives us to produce a better product, too. This is one way we can give back to those who choose to race with the Can-Am family.”

BRP Can-Am is offering contingency for the  GNCC Series.  All pro classes and selected amateur classes will see contingency payouts to third place. There are also built-in bonuses for overall championships.

For a complete payout schedule and contingency submission forms, racers should visit www.can-amxteam.com and click on the “contingency” link.
