Jimmy Woodford 6th Vet A

Andy France 1st Open B

TEAM: JWR, Northstar Power Sports, Woodford Excavating Kawasaki

The JWR team was on hand for the first round of the National Hare Scramble Series in South Carolina on Sunday. With a huge turn out and basically a pre season who's who of offroad racing all the riders put in solid rides.

- Andy France riding a JWR built KX265F took the early lead after a dead last start in the Open B class, and didn't look back all day to take the win. "I rode a pretty flawless race today and loved the sand and the track layout. I just was having fun and that made my win pretty easy."

- Jimmy Woodford started the day off with a mishap when a vine grabbed his rear brake pedal and sent him over the bars. Having to play catch up all day he was able to move from 8th up to 6th on the last lap. "I'm very happy with the way I rode and my bike, everything was working great and I have a few things to work on before the next race."

- John Woodford started mid pack with the 40 some riders in his class, and made some early passes before also tangling with a vine. Only to find it wrapped up in his rear sprocket. It took him a few minutes to get the vine out and he finished the first lap in 21st, eventually finishing 15th for the day. " I felt like I was riding good, but I defiantly need to step up my training program from sitting on a bulldozer pushing dirt everyday."

The JWR team heads to GA February 26th for the 2nd round of the East National Harescramble series. They would like to thank: Northstar Power Sports Kawasaki, Woodford Excavating, Ripped Vinyl, Rekluse, Pro-Action of Northern Ohio, Cycra, Silkolene, No-Toil, Syenergy Seals, FMF, Renthal, Works Connection, and Sunstar.
