After being postponed this spring due to heavy flooding, the Loretta Lynn's round of the 2011 GNCC series was a highly anticipated one for the team as it is close to home and there would be plenty of family and friends on hand to cheer them on. The weather was perfect for this round and some newly added trails helped to keep things interesting.

UXC Racing's Cliff Beasley, who wrapped up the 2011 U2 class championship early, was determined to end his season the way it started; with a win. Beasley charged off the starting line and took an early lead. From there Beasley dominated his class, and increased his lead over the competition with every lap. Beasley ran a flawless race and finished with a time of 02:20:29, which was over seven minutes ahead of second place in his class. "This has been a great season for me and I am really pleased with how everything has gone. I want to give a big thanks to all of our sponsors who stood behind us this season and I'm looking forward to defending my championship for them next year," stated Beasley.

Meanwhile, the battle for the 4x4 Open class championship was still on-going into the final round. Michael Swift was ready and prepared for a win and looked as if he would do just that. Swift looked strong and fast as he charged through the woods, but just after the first lap, Swift encountered a mechanical issue, that would end his day, and end his chance for winning the 2011 championship. "I'm disappointed, but I'm just going to look ahead to next season and focus on moving forward. I'm not going to take a break or anything. I'm just going to keep training and riding and take back the championship. I do want to thank everyone for all of their support this season and I am looking forward to racing for them again next year," said Swift.

For the 2012 season, the UXC Racing team will be once again racing as part of Can-Am's X-team and will be sporting the new 2012 Outlander and Renegade out on the track. "We're excited and we will be doing a lot of testing and development over the off-season so we are ready to go in the spring," said Michael Swift.

The UXC Racing team will be heading to the 2011 GNCC Awards Banquet on December 2nd - 3rd at the Waterfront Place in Morgantown, WV were they will be celebrating along with the rest of the GNCC community.
