Thor riders showed their speed on both sides of the country this weekend, as GNCC Racing held its penultimate round in Crawfordsville, Ind., and the desert racers of the West Coast competed in the final round of the AMA National Hare and Hound season in Lucerne, Calif.
Thor rider Charlie Mullins grabbed his fifth win of the Can-Am GNCC Racing season, helping him extend his points lead to 38 points over second in the XC1 championship standings. While the Crawfordsville round is scheduled to be the season finale, Mullins will have to maintain his points lead for one more weekend, as the GNCC racers head to Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., on November 6, to make up for the rained out fifth round in April.
Also showing speed during the Ironman in Indiana was KTM Racing, and Thor rider, Russell Bobbitt, who just missed the top-five with a sixth-place finish. His teammate Cory Buttrick wasn't far behind, posting an eighth-place effort.
