weekend, the 2011 Can-AM GNCC Racing Series was in St. Clairesville, Ohio, for Round 12 action from Powerline Park. With the championship still up for grabs, Moose Racing riders collected four top-10 finishes over the course of the two-day event, and placed themselves in great position heading into the final two rounds of the season.
Coming into the weekend, Moose Racing's Josh Strang sat in second place overall, and was looking to close the gap on point's leader, Charlie Mullins. Strang would race his way to fifth overall at Powerline, and with the strong effort, remains in contention, just 26 points out of the lead. Strang will look for his third win of the season when racing resumes in two weeks, on October 22-23, from Crawfordsville, Ind.
Other Moose Racing riders posting impressive GNCC results in the XC1 class were Jimmy Jarrett (6th), Jesse Robinson (9th), and Scotty Watkins (10th). Heading into the penultimate round of the 2011 season, Jarrett has a great shot to score a top-10 finish in the championship. He sits eighth overall, seven points out of seventh, and only 22 points out of sixth overall.
