Winterset, Iowa (August, 21, 2011) -- GEICO/American Honda/ JG Off Road's Scotty Watkins was back to his old tricks this weekend at the SIDI OMA in Winterset, Iowa. The new location quickly became Watkin's favorite of the season with its technical creek and log crossings.

"I'd say this was my favorite venue this year," Watkins said. "It was probably one of the best OMA tracks we've had."

Watkins, who has found the secret to strong starts on his Honda ride quickly moved into fourth on the first lap, and kept  Yamaha-mounted Jordan Ashburn in his sights. The two, separated by only a few points in the standings, have battled the entire season. Once again, Ashburn and Watkins stayed in third and fourth, respectively, until Beta's Chris Bach bowed out with mechanical issues, and Watkins moved into third for the finish, with Defending Champion Paul Whibley first, and Ashburn, second.

"It was fun to be out there today," Watkins said. "I tried to catch Ashburn out there and just didn't make it. The bike ran great. It's been a dependable bike all year, so it did really well today."

Jarrett was once again set back by an injury, after crashing on the third turn of the race and having to call it a day.

"I only made it three turns in and crashed and dislocated my finger," Jarrett said.

The JG Off Road team will head to the Kenda Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro in Sequatchie, Tennessee on August 27-28. The next OMA event, the Rekluse MoonShine XC will be held September 18th, in Erie Illinois.
