Barry Hawk Injured at the John Penton GNCC
Morgantown, W. Va. (July 13, 2011) - 8-Time GNCC Champion and current GNCC Racing Trail Crew Barry Hawk was injured in an incident during Sunday's John Penton GNCC in Millfield, Ohio. After being transported to a hospital in Columbus, Ohio, it was determined that Hawk has six broken ribs, a punctured lung and a cracked hip.
Hawk has been at the Columbus hospital since Sunday and plans to be released this evening to go back home. The former racer is recovering well and is in good spirits after his accident.
