Meet Steve van Zuylen, more commonly known as Dutchy. You've probably seen Steve at the races, showing off tons of quality goods from Moose Racing or helping riders get dialed in before their race. We decided to check in on Steve to see what he's been up to, and see what it takes to be sponsored by a quality company.

I think I'll stay with the trend right off and ask you why everyone calls you Dutchy. I've wanted to know that forever!
My last name is van Zuylen which is Dutch. Both of my parents are Dutch, and when I was growing up in New Zealand there were three of us with the first name Steve that hung out together,  so we all got nicknames. Dutchy stuck with me!

You told me earlier you won't be making your way to Morgantown for High Point MX this weekend, so what are you up to?
I'm actually going to spend some quality time with my girlfriend. When you travel all the time on the weekends you sort of forget about doing the normal weekend kind of things with friends etc...

Let's talk about Moose Racing's relationship with JG Off Road. How/When was this partnership established?
Well, we have sponsored Jimmy Jarrett and Scott Watkins for many years now, but at the end of last year JT and myself were talking at a race and he said for 2011 he would really like the team to be more uniform. So, we worked the best we could to get the majority of the team in Moose Gear.  I think next year will be even better. JT, Gretchen and the whole team are really great to work with,  and each year their whole program improves.

Do you have a day to day relationship with the team?  What's that like?

Well I talk with Jimmy and Scott a lot during the week and we live pretty close to each other so we usually get together at least once a week to ride or bicycle. The rest of the team I catch up with at the races.
