Round 3 of the AMA East National Hare Scramble Series This Weekend

Round 3 of the AMA East National Hare Scramble series, set to take place this weekend, May 7 and 8, proves to be a great race for both the adult and youth bike riders.  Tri County Sportsman club puts on a first class event, their facility in scenic Port Elizabeth, NJ has great woods and plenty of parking.  The track happens to be literally in the back yard of Husaberg Factory rider Mike Lafferty, who won the event last year.  Rumor has it, he may have some serious competition for the prize money this year.

This event is also co-sanctioned by ECEA so those of you looking to pick up a few points in that series can do so.  Anyone who has not ridden this event in the past is really missing something.  The track has something for everyone, sand, moto, fast flowing single track and enduro tight sections, thanks to the master mind of Trail Boss Jack Lafferty Sr.  The course for the 3 hour main event is expected to be 12 miles long.

C riders, Masters and Golden Masters will have a separate 2 hour race in the morning with a slightly shorter track.  For the pros: 1st place pays $500; 2nd place $375 and third place $250. ALL A class wins pay a minimum $175 they are paying back 5 places!  Round 1 of this series had some serious talent on the front line, it will be great see a strong representation from the factory guys at this one.
