UXC Racing's Cliff Beasley and Michael Swift Podium at Big Buck GNCC

Shelbyville, TN (04/09/2011) - Round four of the 2011 GNCC series again saw impressive performances by the UXC Racing team with Cliff Beasley taking his fourth straight win of the season in the U2 class and Michael Swift finishing in a respectable second in the 4x4 Open class.

Swift took second in the 4x4 open class
A rough track and warm weather were on tap at Big Buck in Union, SC but that didn't stop Cliff Beasley from dominating the field in the morning U2 class. Beasley, who was fighting off a bad case of stomach flu, wasn't about to let that get in the way of his 23rd straight class win. "I was sick all day on Friday and I looked terrible when I got up to the line on Saturday. Everyone thought they had me this round, but as soon as that starting flag was waved, it was on!" said Beasley, who grabbed the U2 class holeshot and never looked back. Beasley kept pushing hard and kept increasing his lead with each lap. The addition of an extra lap made it difficult for many racers, but it only allowed Beasley to put an even bigger gap between him and the competition as he charged his way to the checkered flag, taking the U2 win by over seven minutes. Despite his impressive performance and even more impressive record, Beasley remains humble.

"Having all those wins is great, but all that matters is the next race. I'm glad to do well for our sponsors and I'm really looking forward to the next round at Loretta Lynn's. That's our home state and we have a lot of fans and family there, so it should be a really good race for us," stated Beasley.

Beasley gets 4 in a row in the U2 class
In the 4x4 Open class, Michael Swift also overcame his share of challenges for the day. It was a rough start for the class with a lot of bumping and grinding going on in the first couple of corners that sent Swift back to fourth place. However, Swift quickly charged ahead and took over the lead by lap three. Swift led for three laps, but a possible fuel filter issue began to cause him grief. Swift held his lead until lap five when he stopped in the pits, which allowed Bryan Buckhannon to close the gap. Swift kept going but a bottle neck allowed Buckhannon to get by.

"I wanted to win but I am glad to save points and still have that lead. I'm really looking forward to Loretta's. I really like that track and I usually do well, so I think it will be a really good race for both Cliff and I," stated Swift.

The Loretta Lynn's round of the 2011 GNCC series is scheduled for April 30th in Hurricane Mills, TN, the home state of the UXC Racing Team, where they will be going for their class wins and the morning podium.
