GNCC Racing announces that the results of the 4x4 Open and Lites classes of the Moose Racing River Ranch round 1 of the 2011 Can-Am GNCC Racing Series have been changed.  Based upon a preliminary ruling on a protest in the 4x4 Lites class, changes were made to the race results in both the 4x4 Open and Lites classes.  Upon further review of the protest, it is clear that the protest was granted in error, and that the machine in question did not violate the GNCC ATV Production Rule.  Specifically, the protest challenged the use of a dual A-arm in the 4x4 Lites class.  The 4x4 Lites class is not a stock or limited class, and the GNCC Production Rule specifically permits aftermarket A-arms and suspension modifications.  Furthermore, the frame geometry of the machine in question remained as designed by the OEM.  Accordingly, the protest is denied and the race results as originally scored have been reinstated.

GNCC Racing strives to provide the most comprehensive and thorough review process for its events, and apologizes for any inconvenience or confusion resulting from this error.
