Another year of GNCC racing is complete. Welcome to Quick Fill.

We're going to keep this short since it's a holiday week, but please be sure to have fun, be safe and get ready for a great new year. For more info on that, check out Tuesday Toolbox with Jeff Russell for more info on the new tracks we're visiting next year.

And DigitalOffRoad.com has a cool countdown setup with their 10 Best Videos of 2010-some great GNCC stuff in there. Check it out at http://www.digitaloffroad.com/tag/top-10-of-2010/

Here's Shan Moore and Rodney Tomblin with a few tidbits, otherwise we'll just let you get out early.

Shan Moore: American Beta just released a couple of photos of Chris Bach doing some testing on his full-on factory GNCC race bike - a Beta 450 RR - and if you can tell anything from a photo, then Chris is looking pretty good. The Indiana native will be running the number 5 on his front number plate this coming year and from what I'm hearing about his off-season I really believe he'll be a consistent podium finisher in 2011 and threat to take a win or two in the XC1 class. Chris tells us, "now that I have some solid testing time under my belt, I feel confident that we'll be putting my factory Beta up front in the near future." I'm taking that as "code" for "get a win" in 2011, so Chris might be putting the XC1 class on alert. Good job, Chris.

As far as other GNCCers getting support for 2011, I spoke with Bart Hayes on Wednesday evening and he told me that RidePG will be helping 8-time National Enduro champ Michael Lafferty, 2010 number five Enduro rider Nick Fahringer, and GNCC racers Steward and Grant Baylor during this year's GNCC series. In case you didn't already know, Bart's new company, Genuine Dirt Racer Products, a subsidiary of Powersport Grafx LLC (RidePG), is the new US representative for WP suspension, which is handy for Fahringer and the Baylor brothers, as they will be getting WP suspension support as well. Every little bit helps and I'm sure the WP suspension support will be a huge benefit for Fahringer and the Baylor's.

A few weeks back, we mentioned Charlie Mullins taking this year's AMA Athlete of the Year award at this year's annual banquet in Las Vegas. To top things off, Charlie also tied the knot with fiancé Rachel Ayers the weekend before. That was a pretty intense two-week stretch. Congrats to Charlie and Rachel for the wedding and for the AMA honor. I copied a quote from Charlie's website below about it all.

"The wedding was amazing and I had a wonderful and special day. I am glad it is all over and done with too at the same time (haha). After that we jumped on a plane to Hawaii and pretty much relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. On the way back we stopped in Las Vegas for the AMA banquet and to watch some Endurocross. At the banquet I knew I was nominated for the athlete of the year, but when they called my name for it I was pretty much lost for words. I was one of the most overwhelming feelings I have had since I started racing."

I don't want to leave out Chris Borich, who won the AMA Racing ATV Athlete of the Year Award. Chris had an amazing run this year and it will be interesting to see if anyone will be able to step up and give him a solid challenge this coming season.

Last week, we showed you pictures of KTM's recently announced the 350 XC-F, which is on cross-country version of the SX-F. I think I said earlier in the year that I thought the 350 KTM would make a perfect GNCC bike and I guess we'll find out for sure when Cory Buttrick, Kailub Russell and Mullins line up on the starting line at River Ranch, since they will be riding the bike. I spent a day doing a photo shoot with Andrew Short near Temecula and he told me the bike is considerably lighter than the 450 and it is very nimble and quick.

Rodney Tomblin: Oh wow....is Christmas over yet?  That was great!  One of the best on record.  And as Christmas passes we look toward the New Year.  And what a new year it will be.  There are so many changes coming and many unanswered questions.  These questions will all be answered in time.

Jordan Ashburn.
I really don't have anything to report this week.  I have as well as many others have had some great times this past week and look forward to what the future holds.  So as we ground ourselves these last few days of 2010, take a moment to reflect, but move on and embrace today each day like there will be no tomorrow.

If you are looking for something to check out, I got this message from the boys at Offroad Viking:

Here is the link to Jordan's interview. This was a sit down interview only because Jordan broke his hand but we will have video of him on the bike after the doc release's him.

Thanks!

Daniel

Also I noticed that our GNCC Chaplin, Team Faith's Chuck Lemaster was looking for a little help for a friend. If you have a couple of moments he sent this message: Need a little help! Take a quick survey for me - it's to help a friend get her PhD. It's about PE in High School. At the end, there is a place for comments regarding positive and negative memories. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/tf_physical_activity_survey

Other than that I hope the best for all and Happy New Year!

Till next year, God Bless Your Heart and all Your Vital Organs.
