The terrible news just keeps coming. We received this note over the weekend:

GNCC racer Marcus Gonzalez #422 was tragically killed in a car accident early Saturday morning on August 14th, 2010 near his parents home in West Virginia. Marcus was a great person who enjoyed living life to the fullest and enjoyed racing. He loved joking around and had a sense of humor that was second to none. Marcus had many great accomplishments both on and off the track. He will be truly missed by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A few of his racing highlights include:
2002 and 2003 Maxxis 12 Hours of ATV America- Utility Expert- 1st place with Team Kawasaki
2006 Maxxis General GNCC- Utility Modified- 2nd place
2006 John Penton GNCC- Utility Modified- 1st place
2007 Maxxis General GNCC- Utility Unlimited- 2nd place and 3rd place overall
2007 Big Buck GNCC- Utility Unlimited- 2nd place and 3rd place overall

Marcus is survived by his wife Jeanie, and his son Zach.He was 38 years old.

A viewing for Marcus Gonzalez will be held from 6-9pm on Tuesday, August 17th. The funeral will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 18th. Here is the name and address of the Funeral Home:
