The week before the River Ranch GNCC, the 2009 7th place XC2 rider Bob Santheson was left without a ride until Brooks Hamilton with KTM and Mike from MotoFit Motorsports in Danbury, CT stepped in and helped him out with a KTM 450. Bob received the 450 only a couple days before the first round! Bob immediately felt comfortable on the KTM 450 as it really is "Ready To Race" right out of the box.
Bob would have an inspiring ride at the GNCC opener, finishing 13th in his XC1 debut and 27th overall. In the closing laps, his training would pay off as he was able to pass a couple riders into 13th place. The second round in Georgia would prove to be a battle for Bob. After a mid pack start, Bob was served with a flat front tire that would cost him some time in the pits. He would charge his way back to 15th in XC1 and 45th overall.
STS/KTM/Motofit XC2 rider John Day Jr. had a great start to his season at River Ranch as he grabbed the MotorcycleUSA.com $100 holeshot. A hard crash in one of the many whoop sections left John battered and bruised but okay. It ended his day short but proved to many he has what it takes to run up front in the highly talented XC2 class. John will be running a part-time GNCC schedule, as he will be battling KTM's Jake Korn for the NETRA Hare Scramble Championship.
Thanks to STS-Motorsports.com, KTM, Motofit Motorsports, Factory Connection, Ogio, Ringers Gloves, and Osiris Shoes. See ya in NC!"
