GNCC Technical Bulletin 2010-2: 4X4 Limited Changes
February 9, 2010Last week a Technical Bulletin was issued concerning the 4X4 Limited class and the modifications that could or could not be made to the machines. Upon further review and input from riders and teams we are making the following change:
Riders will be allowed to change the rear shocks on the machines. The use of reservoirs on the shocks is still prohibited. Below is how the new rule will read:
The following limited items cannot be changed or added:
Internal or external motor components; exhaust system; clutch; steering stem; steering stabilizer; reservoirs; fuel tank; quick fuel system; or tire balls. Rear trailing arms must remain stock; material may be added for strength but no material may be removed. Motor and power output must remain as the factory intended. Front/rear shocks and front/rear springs can be changed; reservoirs cannot be added. No other suspension or steering components may be changed.
This change is consistent with the purpose and intent of the limited class - to permit limited modifications enabling a utility machine to be race-worthy, but disallowing modifications that enhance performance.
