Just want to take a few minutes and give everyone an update on the 2010 R2W team! We have returning again from South Africa, XC1 national ranked 21st, Kenny Gilbert, along side returning national ranked 22nd, Robby Norwood! Both riders had an extremely good year and results this past 2009!
Kenny, at his first year competing at the Pro level, finished 10th in the XC1 class, and tied (with David Knight) for 20th Overall, earning the 21st national ranking! He has set his goals very high for the 2010 GNCC series, along with support and guidance from veteran rider, Vance Earl, and along with a very demanding new training program that he brought with him from his home land! So keep your eyes on him!
Robby Norwood will be making his debut at the Professional level, moving up from the amateur levels of the 4 stroke A Lites with a close 2nd place overall finish in 2009, and a very close (2 sec. for 1st) 2nd place finish in the 200 A class in 2008, has decided to advance to the XC2 Pro Lites class this coming year.
R2W has added two amateurs to the roster! Robby Austell and a visiting South African, Nicholas Pienaar!
Robby A. will be re-competing in the Open A class as he is no stranger to the class and series, who don't know Robby Austell; everyone knows the potential he has! Now! Sir Nic Pienaar has come to the states to make his mark on the GNCC series! Nic came over as a visitor to compete in the last two events last year and got hooked! R2W wishes him luck!
