Can-Am Offers $342,100 in ATV Contingency for 2010 Can-Am GNCC Racing Series
Morgantown, W.Va. (December 17, 2009) - The Grand National Cross Country Series Title Sponsor, Can-Am, has returned for the 2010 series tour with another impressive contingency program. Can-Am's 2010 GNCC Contingency program for ATVs is $342,100, the largest ATV payout announced for the GNCC series. This year, Can-Am has also increased their Overall Championship winnings.
"Our contingency program is a way to give back to those who race Can-Am ATVs," said Chaz Rice, Manager of Media and Public Relations for Can-Am. "From the amateur racer all the way to the professional, Can-Am is committed to helping fuel the passion for ATV racing across North America. We are excited to know that the money we award our contingency program racers is helping them leave the track with extra gas money, or money that will help pay for the next entry fee."
The Can-Am contingency program offers a contingency payout for all 13 rounds in Utility, amateur and Pro classes. Can-Am awards the XC1 Pro Class Champion $5,000, and the XC2 Pro-Am Champion $3,000. Amateur Overall Champions are also awarded significant contingency prizes.
The 2010 Can-Am Grand National Cross Country Series kicks off on February 27th- March 2nd as part of Bike Week at the Westgate River Ranch Resort in River Ranch, Florida, with ATV's racing on Sunday, February 28, and bikes racing on Tuesday, March 2.
